A basketball tournament was held at the arena last weekend. There were 15 games with 16 teams. Each team has 7 players.
1. How many players were in this tournament?
2. There were 35 medals for the winning teams. Each player in the winning team received a medal. How many teams got medals?
3. After the first round, 8 teams were eliminated. How many teams moved on to the second round?
4. 4 referees took turns to work at the games. How many games did each referee work?
5. On Saturday, there were 350 people in the audience which is 120 less than the number on Sunday. How many people were in the audience in total over the two days?
6. Write the number sentence that fits this: “During the tournament, some players were injured. 12 of these players received treatment at the tournament venue and 7 of them were sent to the nearby clinic. There were total of 19 injured players.”
