Hey guys,
I am tripping on this one and I reeeeeeally need your help.
Basically I would like to find out what some data mean in percentage terms. An exams gives your overall result as a percentage but it doesn't give the breakdown of the subject. In fact, there is a scale and results falls between the bands; it only says exceptional, good, borderline and weak.
Can anyone help me ? I tried to work on an Excel file, dividing the bands in 15, ie 100 (max), 85 (exceptional), 70 (good), 55 (borderline) and 40 (weak). Dividing the marks within each band so that there are five in each. Example 100 (max), 97, 94, 91, 88, 85 (borderline). However, it doesn't add up to the final result.
Perhaps it's really simple, but I can get my head around it.
Thanks heaps!

--> Final result as you can see was 65/100
