For instance, you noted thatR² can be pictured as the Cartesian plane. What sorts of figures in the plane would also be subspaces? (Hint: Think about the zero properties.)

R^2 = { (x,y)|x and y are in R}. Can you think of any subspace or R^2. Maybe a projection of R^2 onto ...
