Dividing 12,997 by 24 hours, I get
541.5416666667. I can round this off to
542 days. How do I find the TIME it will be 542 days from the given 12 noon (CST) or Central Standard Time?

If you round down, rather than up, you find that it is 541 days and some number of hours. How many hours?

Now, it's easy to find the time of day exactly 541 hours from noon today. Think about it!

By the way, don't worry about CST; all that matters is that all times are given in the same time zone, so there is no conversion needed.

I have no idea how they are calculating a time of 3:06:27 for a whole number of hours. They must be using some odd financial convention, or maybe inappropriately taking the exact length of a year into account. Whatever they did, this problem is a lot easier than that.

That's correct. Back to 0.541666 and 23/24. Do you see that you are implying that these values are equal, but they are not?

If is currently \(\displaystyle 2:15 pm,~CST\) then in \(\displaystyle 32 \) hours it will be \(\displaystyle 10:15pm,~CST\).
