Yes, that is correct. What do you mean by "didn't get the marks"?View attachment 24454
I worked this out as
3cm x 2cm x 2cm = 12cm3
9cm x 2cm x 3cm = 54cm3
12cm3 + 54cm3 = 66cm3
(Am I right and didn't get the marks or am I wrong?
My teacher sends out 10-15 questions a week... and I didnt get marks for that answer ? mehhhYes, that is correct. What do you mean by "didn't get the marks"?
Yes, but I feel I got it right ?Which parts did you do deliberately incorrectly?
Feel free to have some personal confidence. Maybe find a second way to proceed and convince yourself.
I did it this way, saving the depth for last: [(3 cm * 2 cm)+ (9 cm * 3 cm)] * 2 cm = (6 cm^2 + 27 cm^2) * 2 cm = 33 cm^2 * 2 cm = 66 cm^2
"(-/2 points)" means that if you correctly respond, two points are removed?
Ask your teacher directly about the problem. If there was a scoring error, it should be able to be corrected. And if your answer had been wrong, you should be able to be told why.My teacher sends out 10-15 questions a week... and I didnt get marks for that answer ? mehhh
I hate automatic marking... there getting paid to mark it.This is an ongoing problem. Automated scoring systems are not always perfect. If all you did was click the right radio button, there's no excuse for missing it.
No, because in the bottom left of the picture he give us 3 answers to pick from.Ask your teacher directly about the problem. If there was a scoring error, it should be able to be corrected. And if your answer had been wrong, you should be able to be told why.
(Also, this system should be able to display the answer correctly, as 66 cm3, not 66cm3. It is teaching you incorrect forms.)
And they are all written incorrectly. The 3 should be an exponent. It's a minor error (as is the question mark in the question), but I just wanted to point it out. It may just be that the technology being used makes it hard or impossible to format, but I doubt the latter. No, because in the bottom left of the picture he give us 3 answers to pick from.
