Hi, can you give us an idea of what you have tried and where you are stuck? You won't learn anything if we just provide you with an answer.

I've had a quick look at your diagram, did you mean to write "m" instead of "m²" after the numbers 80 and 101?

Can anyone please help with this?
You might find e, then find the area of the triangles on either side of it, and then work on x and y. I haven't tried it, but it looks like a reasonable approach to try.

What have you tried? That's where we want to help.

P1 is the area of triangle ABD. P2 is the area of BCD. These calculations are correct.

"f" is the whole length DB. I think you meant to use cos instead of sin there!

What locks the centre point into position where you labelled "f", "s", etc ? I can't see anything that stops this point from sliding to anywhere along line BD. Therefore I think there might be something missing from the diagram or some extra information missing from the question.

Yes,I think so too.Thank you.I will have to ask my teacher what s up with this task. There s something missing

I agree, if we take the 80 and 101 to be lengths in meters, there is not enough information. But since the original image showed them as square meters, is it possible that they are meant to be the areas of ABF and ADF, or something like that? (That probably doesn't help, but I might as well ask.) You never actually stated the problem in words.

Square meters were a mistake...they are metres...there s something wrong with the task. Thanks anyway
