You propose to build a space ship that allows the entire population of the United States (280 million) to leave the earth. Your plans allocate an average space of 1,000 (= 10 x 10 x 10) cubic feet to each person.Your space ship is going to have the shape of a sphere. What is the radius of your space ship?

Ok so I used the Volume formula of a sphere which is V= 4/3pir^3. But I was confused as to where to plug in the 1,000. I first put the whole volume equation equal to 1,000 but came out with a small number (like 3.1 or something) and I know it should be a BIG number. Do I need to include the number of the population in the problem? If so where do I put it?
