Question: A manufacturing plant is designed to be in the shape of an regular pentagon with 92.5 ft on each side. A
security fence surrounds the building to form a circle, each corner on the building is to be 25 ft from the closest
point on the fence. How much fence is needed??????????????

Start with making a sketch of a regular pentagon.

Then draw circle arond it - touching the five vertices. What is the radius of the circle - compared to the side of the pentagon.

Then draw another corcle - "parallel" to the first circle with radius 25' larger than the first one. Find the circumference of the second one - and you are done.....
