Applying Bay's Theorem to how does cooking oil increase the risk of heart disease?

Can you explain how to use Bayes’ theorem in this situation? My teacher wants to know how to pick good cooking oil including soybean oil, palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil(refined), rice bran oil and sunflower oil for each type of cooking.Example olive oil used in salad. If you suggest a related theory, you can suggest it to us. But my teacher want to use Bayes’ theorem in this situation ?
In Bayes' theorem
Giving A as a %SFA in cooking oil.
B as a % Risk of heart disease
Example %SFA in palm oil has 51% of volume and ratio of heart disease is 0.068%
About the selection of each type of cooking oil I'm skeptical about Bayes's theory, where I define A is saturated fatty acids (bad) and B is the incidence of heart disease. I would say that the likelihood of developing heart disease from different types of cooking oil. Am I right? For example, palm oil has a percentage of unsaturated fatty acids (%SFA) at 51% by weight and has a 0.068 percent incidence of heart disease.

So I sympathize with your difficulty in asking a complex question in a language that is not your native one. However, how you have phrased this question is so obscure as to defy an immediate answer.

Let’s clarify.

First, how old are you and what are you studying? We need to know that to know what kind of answer is suitable.

Second, this looks like a homework problem to which you have added a question. Does this involve a homework problem asking you to compute one or more probabilities? If so, let’s work on that first before asking any questions about whether the computed probabilities are meaningful in practice.

Third, what in the world do you mean by %SFA? 51% volume of what? Ratio of heart disease relative to what?

I'm 20 years old. I studied chemical engineering with a bachelor's degree. My homework is about finding each type of cooking oil suitable for what kind of cooking? My teacher suggested using Baye's Theorem, so I thought
So I think if we define A is the percentage of unsaturated fatty acids in each oil and B is the rate of heart disease from each cooking oil. by the disease incidence rate of each oil I found it from the medical website.
I'm not sure if my way of thinking is right?

My first problem with your thought process is that the percentage of unsaturated fatty oils is NOT a probability measure so it does not technically belong in Bayes Law. This does not mean that you could not use such percentages in a regression analysis between such percentages and the risk of heart disease. My concern with that method is degrees of freedom. And that is not Bayes‘ Law.

Can you you treat those fat percentages as representing probabilities? Obviously, they look like probabilities, non-negative real numbers not exceeding 1. In the article you found, what was the complete description of the statistics you are thinking of using?
