Hi
Looking for some help with ther following, many thanks in advance.
It is estimated that 1 hectare provides crops for 50 people, if you have 150 hectare how many people does it provide for?
My working.
50 x150 = 7500 people answer
2. If a farm sells of 60% of that crop above, how many people will it provide for now.
Working –
60% of 7500= 4500
therefore 7500-4500= 3000 people answer
3. If a cattle feeds on crops and eventually that cattle is eaten by humans, only 10% of their original protein figure from answer (2) intake is converted into meat protein, how many meat eating people can have their proteins needs met.
10% of 3000= 300 so only 300 provided
4. using answer from parts 2 and and 3 calculate the total number of people now getting their protein needs from the 150 hectare farm.
Answer is 3000-300= 2700
