Original Problem:
2x - 3
-------
(x + 3)^2
mult. by
x^2 + 4x + 3
-----------------
4x^2 - 9
so i factored the bottom and got (x+3)(x+3) for the first one and (2x+3)(2x-3) for the second one. when I factored the numerator of the second one, I got (x+1)(x+3). So by cancelling out some factors, I ended up with:
1
------
(x+3)
mult. by
x+1
-------
2x+3
=
x+1
------------
2x^3 + 3x + 6x + 9
which came to
x+1
------------
2x^3 + 9x + 9
Did I do that right?
