If N = 1000e^-kt and N = 200 when t =2, then an exact value for k is

a) 1/2 loge2
b)-1/2 loge2

I would say a but there is not such an answer in the multiple choices.

thanks in advance...

Plug "200" in for "N" and "2" in for "t". Solve for "k". A good first step would be to divide through by 1000. Then take the natural log of each side of the equation.

Um... it looks to me like there is an option "a" in the listing you quoted...?
