First day back and already stuck on another question:

Factorise the expression:

12a^2b^3 - 3a^4b - 18a^3b^2

Any ideas?

Thank you:)

pull out common factors to start ...

3a2b(4b2 - a2 - 6ab)

Any ideas?

Thank you:)

I'm slowly working through the "BTEC First MATHEMATICS for Technicians" book. I've just started it and these questions are an assessment on what you know (Not Much!)
I have no teacher and trying to self teach (Family to raise) it's been 15 years since I've touched maths, now I need it.

Sorry, was just wanting some free pointers. Any suggestions on software or help would be gratefully appreciated:)

Yohanson:)

No problems, yohanson; now we know you're not someone trying
