I put:

20000 * 10^.0132t = 60000

10^.0132t = 30000

.0132t = log 30000

t = log 30000 / .0132 = 339.176

Am I correct here???
If not can someone help.....

I will guess that the actual question is in the subject line, rather than in your post. (Many don't read, or at least notice, the subject line, and it isn't always carried through into the "reply" interface, so it is generally best to include your actual question within your posts. Thank you.)

I'm afraid I don't see how you got from your subject line to the beginning of your post. I suspect there is a typo somewhere in there. Please reply with the full and exact text of the exercise.

Thank you.

Here's the entire question the teacher gave me

Solve the following:

Find t if P is tripled to 60,000 in : P= 20,000 * 10^0.0132t

I got

20,000 * 10^.0132t = 60,000

10^.0132t = 30,000

.0132t = log 30,000

t = log 30,000 / .0132

t = 339.176

But 60,000 ÷ 20,000 is not 30,000, is it...?

OH thnaks...

ok so I end up with

20000 * 10^ .0132t = 60000
is

10^.0132t = 3
is t= log 3/.0132

which is 36.1455

is that right? I an't lpug back yet...I am so lost to reversing rihgt now.

Also...I don't need to TRIPLE anything else in the beginning do I??

Since the exercise only said that P was the triple of P0 = 20,000, no, you only need to triple to 20,000, and then plug the 60,000 in for "P".
