In this geometrical figure, we have to find the value of x.
There are two solutions, Which one is correct?

  1. Angle COB should be 90 deg [AOB is straight line, angle AOC and angle COB are supplementary angles]. Angle BOD should be 90 deg [angle AOC is 90 deg]
2.Angle AOC + Angle COB + Angle BOD + Angle DOA = 360 deg [complete angle] therefore,
x+x+90 = 360
2x+90 = 360
2x=360-90=270
x = 270/2
x = 135

x = 135 degree.

By this description, the graphic is badly wrong and line AB and line CD are perpendicular. By any number of lines of reasoning, the value of "x" is obvious.

Angle AOC + Angle COB + Angle BOD + Angle DOA = 360 deg [complete angle] therefore,
x+x+90 = 360
On what logical basis did you ignore the fourth angle? Or is that something that's wrong in the graphic, too? :shock:

The question paper has this diagram. I think, If we take angle COD as 90 deg, then, 135 deg can be the answer and there is no need to consider the 4th angle. Your suggestion?
