Hi,

plz help in this this:

Ques
Solve differential equation of d2h /dx2=0 using the Galerkin method and considering 0 ≤ x≤ 3 given that: h = 0cm when x = 0m and h = 10cm when x = 3m.Solve differential equation of d2h /dx2=0 using the Galerkin method and considering 0 ≤ x≤ 3 given that: h = 0cm when x = 0m and h = 10cm when x = 3m.

Thanks in advance...

Haven't you done anything on this yourself? What is the "Galerkin method"?
(The Galerkin method is a numerical method (or class of numerical methods) for solving differential equations. I'm not sure why you would use a numerical method for such a trivial equation.)

It could be begining of variational calculus class or continuum mechanics class. I remember doing such trivial problems to get our feet wet. It is - I suppose - like writing a program to calculate A + B = C (my first FORTRAN program).

Your "ques" both look the same, to me. Typo maybe?

What are your thoughts, about this exercise, thus far?

Please take a moment to read the forum guidelines; you can start with this summary page.

Thank you!
