Geometry help- measuring segments and angles

Heyy thanks so much for trying to help me with this problem!

Im confused about a couple of things.
example.
If ST = 15 and RT= 4 then RS = ?
Theres a line drawn -----------------------

looks somewhat like that.
i wish i knew where to start in this problem but i dont.

Did you mix something up, with the first exercise?

If the entire length from R to T is only 4, then it's impossible to have a length of 15 from S to T.

If RT is actually 15 and ST is actually 4, then finding the length of RS is simply a matter of taking the difference. In other words, subtract the given part from the given whole (i.e., chop off the segment ST, and see what's left).

On the second exercise, it's also a simple matter of taking the difference. The two smaller angles make up angle ABD, so subtract angle ABC from angle ABD, and you'll be left with angle CBD.
