Graph each set of lines. a) identify two congruent triangles that are formed by the lines. b) write a paragraph proof to justify your statement in part a.

y=5 y= -x+1
y=-4 y= -3x+2

I graphed them but can't find the congruent triangles/know how to prove. Thanks

You did graph them? Ok then, what's the coordinates of the crossing point of lines y=-x+1 and y=-3x+2 ?

That can't be - (1,0) is not on y = -3x+2

y = -x + 1

y = -3x + 2

then

-x + 1 = -3x +2

2x = 1

x = 1/2

Then the point of intersection of those two lines is (1/2, 1/2)

As Subhotosh showed you, that's not correct.
So that means you're certainly not ready for this problem; see your teacher.
