This is a rough drawing of a problem I am stuck on.
The given is that < 3 is supplementary to < 4.
I need to figure out how BD // FE
With a statement, I also need a reason (theorem, postulate, definition, etc.) to go into a second column.
This is all I have so far:
1. < 43 is supp. to < 4 1. Given
?. BD // FE
I thought that I would simply just say < 3 is congruent to its vertical angle and go from there, but that doesn't seem to be the case. There isn't really a point or angle written there, and my teacher said that I couldn't use vertical angels in this situation. He also mentioned that it is not drawn to scale, so I can't immediately say < 2 is supp. to < 3 either.
Is there something I am missing? I need a step or two (plus reasonings) to help me figure this problem out, please. (Anymore than that is definitely appreciated!)
Thank you!
