Please can you guys help with these math questions?

1. A man stands on the ground 12m away from a building which is 16m high. Find the angle of elevation of the top of the building from the man's feet.

2. The logarithm to base ten of a number is 2.415. Find the square of the number.

3. The dimensions of a water tank are 13cm, 10cm, and 70m. If it is half-filled with water, calculate the volume of water in litres.

4. The volume of a cuboid is 54cm^3. If the length, width and height of the cuboid are in the ratio 2:1:1 respectively, find its total surface area.

5. A trapezium of area 175cm^2 and altitude 10cm has the length of one of its parallel sides as 15cm. What wll be the length of the other parallel side?

I have done all i can to try and understand but nothing is working. Please help me.

1. A man stands on the ground 12m away from a building which is 16m high. Find the angle of elevation of the top of the building from the man's feet.

Hint: Draw a sketch of the situation and use properties of similar triangles

2. The logarithm to base ten of a number is 2.415. Find the square of the number.

Hint: Use property of logs - log (x^2) = 2 * log(x)

3. The dimensions of a water tank are 13cm, 10cm, and 70m. If it is half-filled with water, calculate the volume of water in litres.

What does half-filled mean? What is the volume of the tank?

4. The volume of a cuboid is 54cm^3. If the length, width and height of the cuboid are in the ratio 2:1:1 respectively, find its total surface area.

What is the equation of volume of a cuboid? What is the equation of the surface area of a cuboid?

5. A trapezium of area 175cm^2 and altitude 10cm has the length of one of its parallel sides as 15cm. What wll be the length of the other parallel side?

What is the equation of the area of a trapezium?

I have done all i can to try and understand but nothing is working. Please help me.

draw a picture. 16/12 makes a trig function

2. The logarithm to base ten of a number is 2.415. Find the square of the number.
logX=2.415. what does X equal?

3. The dimensions of a water tank are 13cm, 10cm, and 70m. If it is half-filled with water, calculate the volume of water in litres. what shape?
