Q:If ABCB and mD = 130, what is the measure of ∠A?

A.
50°
B.
40°
C.
130°
D.
70°

Directions: In the figure above, CD || AB.

I'm not sure how to go about these. Can anyone explain?

Q:If ABCB This is extra information. It isn't necessary to solve the problem.

and
mD = 130,

what is the measure of ∠
A?

A.
50°
B.
40°
C.
130°
D.
70°

Directions: In the figure above, CD || AB. This info is crucial, though.

I'm not sure how to go about these. Can anyone explain?

AD is a transveral that cuts the parallel lines CD & AB.

What does that mean for the relationship between angle D and angle A

mD = 130

mC = 90

mB = 90 ............................ and

mC + mB + mD + mA = 360

continue......
