i need to prove the hyperbolic equation:


sechx - cosechx
______________ = coshx - sinhx
tanhx - cothx

Can you write hyperbolic functions as a function of ex?

If you can - start from there.

If you can't, use your textbook or use Google!

Or write sech(x) = 1/cosh(x) and other similar properties and simplify.

How are you supposed to use the techniques of differential equations in proving this identity? ;)
