Hello. I was told that |e^(3in)|^2 is equal to 1. Can someone please explain why that is?

You should know:

\(\displaystyle e^{i\theta} \ = \ cos(\theta) + i * sin(\theta)\)

then:

\(\displaystyle e^{i\pi} \ = ?? \)

and

\(\displaystyle [e^{i\pi}]^3 \ = \ e^{i3\pi} \ = ?? \)

and

\(\displaystyle [e^{i3\pi}]^2 \ = ?? \)
