First, look up the definition, which should be in your book, somewhere before this homework exercise. If you can't find it, try Google for a list of sites with definitions, explanations, lessons, etc.
Then use what you know about the slopes of perpendicular lines (here) to find the slope of the line containing the perpendicular. Then find that line's equation (here). Then find the coordinates where the two lines intersect.
