ordered pair sollution of the system of equations?

(-1, -3) 3r + s = -6
2r = 1 + s

first i changed the second equation to
2r - s = 1


the first equation went like this
3r + s = -6
3(-1) + -3 = -6
-3 + -3 = -6
-6 = -6
true


the second equation went like this
2r - s =1
2(-1) - (-3) = -6
-2 - (-3) = -6
-2 + 3 = -6
1 = -6
false


does anyone agree?

why did you make the equation from this 2(-1) - (-3) =1 to this? 2(-1) - (-3) = -6
