A patio isin the shape of a circular sector witha central angle of 160.0 degrees. It is enclosed by a railing of which the circular part is 11.6 m long. What ithe area of the patio?

So far I have A=1/2?r^2, I know ? = 160.0 degrees but I'm not sure how to find r using the length 11.6m for the circular part.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That means perimeter of the circular part is 11.6 m

Use the equation

\(\displaystyle S \, = \, r \cdot \theta\)

remember in the equation above, the angle is expressed in radians.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Word Problem

If 160 degrees supports 11.6,
then 360 degrees supports ?
