Please help, show that angles interior angles A, E and C add up to 360

Its supposed to be such a simple problem but I am struggling with it and any help would be appreciated.

Segment AB is parallel to segment CD Show that the sum of the measures of angles A, E, and C is 360 degrees.

Thank you.

Sorry I posed a paint pick of the problem but its not showing up.

By default, MS Paint saves images in bitmap form. That format does not work here because the files are too big.

Open the image file in MS Paint, and then Save As a .JPG file.

Then, return to this thread and upload the .JPG file for a new post.

Cheers

PS: I tried to draw the diagram from your description, but some of your statements are ambiguous.

Thank you I was able to make the original post more intelligible

Still stuck on reflecting into into triangle ACE

Draw line AC.
Triangle ACE contains 180 degrees...you knew that, I hope...
Angles BAC and DCA both equal 90 degrees, and both are
part of angles BAE and DCE.
So that gives you a total of 360 degrees; ok?

Thank you

I was drawing that set of triangles but what you've provide is helpful because it enables us to draw a perpendicular and get at set of 90 degree angles but I still have trouble reflecting that into the 180 degree of triangle AEC

Thank you
