radical expressions: multiplication

Re: radical expressions

Post some example problems - along with your work, indicating exactly where you are stuck.

Re: radical expressions

not sure how to show problem properly. here goes;
radical 3/16 *radical 4/3 = radical 3 over radical 16 *radical 4 over radical 3 = radical 3 over 4 * 2 over radical 3= 2radical 3over 4 radical 3 *4 radical 3 over 4 radical 3 = 8 radical 3 over 12

that is what i came up with. the problem was;

radical 3/16 * radical 4/3

radical 3/16 * radical 4/3

\(\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{3}{16}}\ \cdot \sqrt{\frac{4}{3}}\\)

= \(\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{3}{16} \cdot \frac{4}{3}}\\)

= \(\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{12}{48} \\)

= \(\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{1}{4} \\)

= \(\displaystyle _\frac{1}{2}\\)

Re: radical expressions

thank you Subhotosh for helping me. I don't know why I was making it more complicated then it really was.
thank you again.
