I have to figure out how many acres a piece of land I am listing is. I have the 5-sided dimensions. How many acres is it and how do I figure it out? The dimensions are
16x172x283x49x324. Thank you!

You have provided insufficient information.

Here is one approach:

Make a sketch of the property and label all five sides with the info you just gave us.

Next, draw two diagonals from one of the corners to two opposing corners such that you have divided your figure into three triangles.

Measure the lengths of the diagonals and add them to your drawing. Now you have sufficient information to calculate area using Heron's Formula:

Calculate the three triangle areas and add them up. If your length measurements were in feet, your answer will be in "square feet" or "feet squared." You can use the Internet to get a conversion into acres.

Hope that helps.

Here is the diagram of it.

Here is the diagram of it. Top line is 172, and then in order: 16x324x49x283. Thank you.

Your dimensions are in feet?
Consecutive as shown?
Do you know any of the 5 corner angles?
Did you know that 1 acre = 43560 square feet,
which is approximately a 208 by 208 feet field?
