Working on a factor of safety question for geomorphology and have gotten the answer down to:
tanB = tan35
I need to solve for B so I expanded tan into sin/cos:
sinB/cosB = tan35
But am at a loss when trying to isolate to solve for B. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Well you can not do that.

The best you can do is say that \(\displaystyle B = {35^o} + {180^o}k\) where \(\displaystyle k\) is an integer.
