What are some common ways to do this?
Converting everything to a form of sin or cos
Adding fractions
Using Conjugates
Using Trig Pygotheorean Identities
Using Trig Reciprocal Identities
Breaking an expression into fractions.
Turning an expression into a multiplying expression.
Getting rid of square roots by squaring both sides.
Does anyone know anymore?
One big use of simplifying would be verifying a trig expression equals another and solving trigonometric equations.
