Simplify to a single expression:

cot x sec x

I have done...

cos x 1 1
------ * ------- = ------ = csc x
sin x cos x sin x

Should it be left as 1
--------
sin x

or would csc x make it completely simplified?

Thanks Everyone!

Hello, tristatefabricatorsinc!

Simplify to a single expression: \(\displaystyle \cot x\cdot\sec x\)

I have done: \(\displaystyle \L\:\frac{\cos x}{\sin x}\cdot\frac{1}{\cos x}\:=\:\frac{1}{\sin x}\:=\:\csc x\;\) . . . Good!

Should it be left as: \(\displaystyle \,\frac{1}{\sin x}\) . . . or would \(\displaystyle \csc x\) make it completely simplified?
\(\displaystyle \text{csc}x\) is preferable . . . just as \(\displaystyle \text{tan} x\) is simpler than \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{\text{cot} x}\)
