sine waves: sinusoidal pogo oscillation is detected in launch vehicle’s 1st stage

Hi,

Really struggling with this maths question can someone point me in the right direction?


  1. A sinusoidal pogo oscillation has been detected in the launch vehicle’s first stage engines. This oscillation causes a force of 2g on the centre engine and it occurs 16 times per second. It roughly follows the equation y = 2sin(x) . The maximum allowable pogo oscillation force is 0.25g. Find the period of the oscillation that is outside the reference range and give this information to the flight safety engineers in the form of a labelled graph. Give the answer for the interval .

I know this can be solved using trig but my brain isnt working tonight.

Any help at all appreciated.
