I havent figured out how to actually put algebraic terms in here.

Okay gang, as I thought, the instructor made a typo typing the assignment. The problem is as follows:

-2<=2/5x+6<=4

5(-2)<=5(2/5)+5(6)<=5(4)

-10<=10x+30<=20

-10-30<=10x+30-30<=20-30

-40<=10x<=-10

-40/10<=10x/10<=-10/10

-4<=x<=-1

solution set is [-4,-1]

Is the middle bit meant to be any of the following?

. . . . .2/(5x) + 6

. . . . .2/(5x + 6)

. . . . .(2/5)x + 6

. . . . .(2/5)(x + 6)

Or is it something else?

5(-2)<=5(2/5)+5(6)<=5(4)

What happened to the "x"?
