For a report about the Olympic Games, you want to include the winning times for women running the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 1500 meter, and 3000 meter races in 1992, 1996, and 2000. Make a table that you could use to organize the data.

To make table you would have row headings and column headings. In this case, you could try events as row headings and the years as column heading.

Please share your work with us, indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we may know where to begin to help you.

Hello, studentneedshelp!

It's hard to believe that you've NEVER made a table before
. . and don't know how to make one . . .

Make a table that you could use to organize the data.

Here is one possibility . . .

. . . . \(\displaystyle \text{Winning Times (Women)}\)

. . \(\displaystyle \begin{array}{c||c|c|c|} & 1992 & 1996 & 2000 \\ \hline \hline\ \text{100 m} & \; &\; & \; \\ \hline \text{200 m} & & & \\ \hline \text{400 m} & & & \\ \hline \text{800 m} & & & \\ \hline \text{1500 m} & & & \\ \hline \text{3000 m} & & & \\ \hline \end{array}\)

You could always use the top of your kitchen table :roll:
