x-in, you get y-out........so what's the rule to get the nth number in this series?

x=0, y=4
x=1, y=9
x=2, y=16
x=3, y=25
x=50, Y=?

what's the rule?

It looks to me like all the y's are perfect squares. What do you do to each x to get the corresponding y that is a perfect square?
