I need major help with this. I dont understand how to write the equation???
PLEASE HELP!! :?

Slope Intercept form is written y = mx + b. I don't know if that is any help, but if you need me to explain it, I will.

slope...

I understand that much what i dont understand i how you take a cordinate and "m". Find "b" To then form a new equation

If your two points are (4,5) and (5,-4) then you first need to find "m."

The formula for M is y1 - y/ x1 -x, so you get -4 - 5 which equals -9 over 5 - 4 which equals 1. M equals -9.

Then you pick a point, any one, and plug it in. I will take (4,5)

y-5 = -9( x-4) which turns out to be y -5 = -9x + 36
you want to get Y by itself so you add 5 to each side and it cancels out on the left, so your answer is y= -9x + 41

Hope that helps :)

i got you. My uncle just got here maybe he can help me with the rest! Thank you very much

I'm sorry, but we really can't teach classes here.

If you have a specific exercise with which you are having difficulty, please post it. If, on the other hand, you are requesting lessons on various topics (slopes, intercepts, and line equations, for a start...?), then please list the topics for which you would like links to lessons.

Thank you.

Eliz.
